Anchor Action: The One Action That Keeps You Focused


Ever found yourself taking on too much?

It happens. Especially with those who a) are highly motivated or b) want things to happen instantly.

Inevitably everyone learns the same lesson.

Less is better.

I want to challenge you today to choose one (only one) action that will anchor your day.

It’s the action that you will do every morning come hell or high water. It’s the action that gives you a feeling of control. It’s the action that triggers the productive and effective beast that is hiding inside of you.

There are 2 criteria this action needs to satisfy:

1. It has to happen in the morning.
2. It has to be small and repeatable.

This action then becomes your Anchor-action.

It’s actionable, repeatable, and leads to consistent growth and momentum. It anchors your thoughts, emotions, and steadies you for the day ahead.

Consistency in this will spill over into other areas of your life.

My Anchor-action is journaling.

Yours could be Calibration, exercise, prayer, reading, or pretty much anything else.
